Vertigo, the sensation that you or your surroundings are spinning, can be caused by issues in the inner ear or brain, or both. It can manifest in different ways, from brief episodes of dizziness to longer-lasting sensations of imbalance and disorientation and advance even further to Meniere’s disease (1).
